- We apologise, but we are not able to provide our service to children under 12.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the appointment.
- Ear wax MUST be softened with Earol spray for at least 7 days before the appointment, and ideally longer, as children’s ears are more sensitive than adults’.
- Earol application: 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 7 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.
- Due to social distancing regulations, only one parent or guardian in the room with the patient.
- Both patient and parent/guardian must wear a Type iiR mask which we will supply throughout their time in our location.
IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19 regulations, you need to complete a triage and consent form after you have booked. We cannot provide treatment without this form being completed. Please check your email, including Spam or Junk folders for your appointment confirmation email, which has a link to the form. Alternatively, go to https://www.hearingfirst.co.uk/my-account/orders/, view your order and click on the link.
