- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

Very happy with the service I received, I have very small ear canals that do cause me problems from time to time with hearing, GPs have often told me I have no wax or so little that syringing isn’t necessary and still been struggling with hearing. Before going down the hearing test route I decided to book in for a microsuction session and although there was very little wax in one ear, the removal of it has made a difference that I have noticed. I had taken an on-line hearing test beforehand and it suggested I have hearing loss, taken it again and now it says no hearing loss. Jonathan Potter the audiologist made some recommendations for maintenance going forward. It wouldn’t surprise me if I used the service again as I do have a propensity to ear blockage and if so I wouldn’t hesitate to use this service again.
