- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

Having had a blocked left ear for 6 days and having tried all sorts of ear drops plus water syringing and olive oil, none of which worked, I was at the end of my tether so having searched on Google in the early hours, I was so relieved to find someone with immediate availability, being Jason at Welwyn Garden City. Within 5 minutes of my appointment, my ear is now clear of a large build-up of wax and I can now hear again! Such a relief! Jason kindly checked my right ear which was fine. It’s an excellent service which was quick and thorough – I would highly recommend if you’ve tried everything to unblock your ears without success. Great service – thank you Jason!

Thank you Stephanie for removing my earwax yesterday! Quick, painless (almost satisfying?), and my hearing is much improved. Stephanie was friendly and professional, she told me what was going to happen and what she could see during the procedure and gave me good advice for after care.
The only thing I will say is that the place in Surbiton where I went looks a bit unofficial. There is no Hearingfirst branding anywhere so initially I thought it was a bit weird as there was no signage or receptionist to greet anyone. But knowing it’s there, I will go back again if I need ear wax removal again!
