- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

Both ears cleaned in approx 20 mins pain free the procedure is quiet noisy one ear the wax was deep in the ear canal and this did tickle the back of my throat but was not painful came out being able to hear clearly was such a relief as I had been totally deaf in one ear

The actual procedure was fine and, as far as I can tell, effective.
Pre-procedure documentation was tedious and contradictory and required reference to your office. It also advocated a product (Waxsol) not easily available without making clear it was optional.
