Microsuction Ear Wax Removal (Adult)
From £34 15 minutes
- Ear Wax Removal provided by one of our expert practitioners for patients aged 18+.
- For children aged 12 – 17, please book an appointment at Microsuction Ear Wax Removal (Age 12 – 17)
- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.
- Please carefully read our Terms and Conditions before booking.
IMPORTANT: Due to COVID-19 regulations, you need to complete a triage and consent form after you have booked. We cannot provide treatment without this form being completed. Please check your email, including Spam or Junk folders for your appointment confirmation email, which has a link to the form. Alternatively, go to https://www.hearingfirst.co.uk/my-account/orders/, view your order and click on the link.

I was able to get an appointment the same day. Katherine who saw me was excellent, friendly, explained everything and made it a totally comfortable experience. I was so glad I went! And would definitely return if I was having any problems again. Thank you!

Excellent service. Pain-free. Originally went to book an appointment but member staff was more than helpful and checked online to see availability of appointments. Completed the online form and was seen straight away. A lot better than syringing. Staff couldn’t be more helpful.

I think my ears are now better than before although a review after a few days rather than a few hours might offer a better overview. I had no idea what to expect beyond what was stated on the web site and the additional comment made by the person attending to my ears that it would sound noisy. As it turned out, I found it more uncomfortable than expected: I apparently have narrow ear canals which meant it was harder to see what was needed and more pushing and pulling to outer ear resulted; also, the probe got far enough in to excite the cough reflex – which I had to try to suppress for fear of jerking my head. Afterwards I had a couple of minor dizzy spells. I am sure the job was done well and I know that some people benefit a great deal from this procedure and speak highly of it, but but I will be returning only if the problem returns in a more serious fashion that I had when I booked this.

Stephanie was a pleasure to deal with, putting me at my ease and answering all my questions. She also gave good advice on aftercare. Highly recommended.
