- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

I have had earwax removed several times a year for several years and usually have to wait 5 or 6 weeks for an appointment with a well known high street opticians. However, I was able to get an appointment with Hearing First within a week and my earwax was removed by Jonathan at a clinic near Oxford. He was friendly and professional throughout and removed all the earwax gently and with the minimum of discomfort. I have no doubt that I will need the procedure doing again within the next 6 months and will have no hesitation in going back to Jonathan.
