- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

I have this procedure done once a year and on the previous two was able to book an appointment at my nearest centre, which is Ealing.
However, owing to holiday leave, on this occasion I had to book at Finchley Central a 3 hour round trip away. I didn’t mind the added cost in terms of either time or money though because I knew the service provided would be worth every penny and minute! I was right!
Anca, my practitioner, was friendly, funny, and (e)fficient! ; ) I arrived ahead of my appointment but didn’t have to wait as she was able to see me straight away. It only took 15 minutes or so to sort both ears and as always the difference it made was immediate and very welcome!
There was even time for a lovely chat with Anca, and to top it all off I even got a recommendation for a nearby cafe to get lunch at before I headed home which was every bit as good as she said it would be so many thanks for that too Anca! ; )

I saw Mary in the Enfield clinic. She provides a professional, friendly, and totally effective painless service. This is the 3rd time I have seen Mary over the years, having had a very bad experience elsewhere, previously. I saw her at the new clinic, which I understand they moved to around a year ago, off Willow Road. I would thoroughly recommend Mary, at Hearing First to everyone.
