- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

Andrew was amazing. The whole procedure took 10 minutes.
Andrew explained what the procedure was. He took a look at my ear, saw the problem and sorted it. I could hear again properly after 5 days of having a blocked ear. Such a relief. I would highly recommend this service and would use again.

Was able to book an appointment on the day for the ear wax removal that has been troubling me now for some 10 days. Mary wasn’t able to do a full removal as the wax was too compacted onto the eardrum even though I had been putting bicarbonate drops in for 5 days (maximum before skin problems allowed). I will be going back for further treatment after another 5 days or so when the wax has been softened more with olive oil at no further cost to me. The service was exactly as described on the introduction on the website, a slight irritaion to the ear canal but nothing really. Even though the treatment needs to be fully finished I can hear very well from the cleared ear and look forward to having my hearing fully restored. I can highly recommend Hearing First as a 1st place to go.
