- Some of our Audiologists are clinically vulnerable and may ask you to wear a type iiR mask and will provide one if required. We thank you for your cooperation
- We strongly recommend that you soften your ear wax with Earol spray, 2 squirts in each ear (optionally with the addition of 2 drops of glycerol), 4 times a day for at least 5 days prior to your appointment. If you want to use cotton wool to hold the oil in, first saturate the cotton wool in petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline), so the cotton wool doesn’t soak up all the Earol. Make sure you squirt the Earol over a sink until you see oil spray out in order to expel any air prior to application.

My wife requires ear wax removal about every 6 months. This was our third appointment with Hearing First, albeit our first at Ealing. It went very smoothly indeed: we were seen promptly, Stephanie was very considerate of my wife’s mobility problems, and on this occasion the whole process was far quicker than expected. As on our previous two visits, the effect of the treatment was immediate; having spent 2-3 weeks telling me to turn volumes up and speak louder, my wife is now telling me to do precisely the opposite!

Booked an appointment and was seen to by Andrew, who was calm, reassuring and explained to me how the procedure worked and what initial discomfort I could expect. In a matter of minutes we got my ear unblocked and Andrew gave me some advice on follow up ear care to reduce the risk of this happening again.
