OUR STORY

Hearing First’s Audiology division is led by Jason Levy, who boasts over 18 years of experience in the hearing industry across both public and private sectors. His passion for assisting those with hearing difficulties drove him to join First Health Ltd. However, the business faced challenges in growth while Jason managed operations from two locations. The situation transformed when Mary Levy joined the company, bringing a fresh perspective and vital expertise.

Mary has a strong background in Strategic Business IT and Health and Social Care. Originally from the Philippines, she came to the UK with aspirations to enhance healthcare in her home country. A chance meeting with Jason in 2009 blossomed into marriage in 2012, further intertwining their professional and personal lives. Her strategic vision and IT skills, combined with her experience in NHS and international hospitals, enabled Hearing First to expand its services significantly. Under her leadership, the company now operates in 32 locations, with ambitious plans for growth throughout England.

PHILOSOPHY

Our goal is to help you get the most out of your hearing. We do this by staying up to date with the latest and best hearing aid technology. All of our Audiologists have been handpicked to help you to hear better and live better. They are all trained and certified in microsuction ear wax removal, and kept up to date with the latest advancements for hearing care.

THE SCIENCE AND ART OF AUDIOLOGY

As technology has advanced, hearing aids have become more sophisticated, leading audiology to become increasingly scientific. However, individual preferences vary, much like music tastes, and audiologists must consider these when fitting hearing aids using various prescription formulas. But there are at least five prescription formulae and all of them are different. For instance, one formula aims to restore natural loudness growth while another emphasises certain speech sounds over others. Finding the right formula for you and making the right adjustments is the Art of Audiology, and this comes down to us listening to you, assessing your needs, and verifying ensuring you get the right balance of comfort and clarity.

WHY CHOOSE US?

AT HEARING FIRST, our aim is to make first class hearing care available to everyone, whether through our gold standard Microsuction Ear Wax Removal Network ear care service or by offering genuinely independent hearing tests and advice. We are a family-owned and -run company, and we treat our staff and clients as members of our extended Hearing First family.
